Inspector-General of Police (IGP) Christian Tetteh Yohuno has approved the promotion of 13 senior officers of the Ghana Police Service in recognition of their exceptional service and commitment to duty.
The announcement was made on Wednesday, December 24, 2025, as part of the Police Administration’s ongoing efforts to reward professionalism, dedication, and sacrifice within the Service.
A formal decoration ceremony was held at the National Police Headquarters in Cantonments, Accra, where the officers were officially presented with their new ranks.
Speaking at the event, IGP Yohuno said the promotions were the result of careful evaluation of the officers’ performance, consistent professionalism, and dedication over time.
“The decision not only honours the achievements of these 13 officers but also serves to inspire all personnel to uphold integrity, discipline, and excellence,” he said.
He encouraged all officers to remain committed to serving the nation, assuring them that loyalty, hard work, and dedication would continue to be recognised and rewarded by the Police Administration.
