Alhaji Said Sinare in a Facebook post published earlier today, lauded the competence of Sammy Gyamfi, claiming that the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) attacks on the Gold Bod and the Bank of Ghana only expose the party’s record of incompetence and mismanagement.
Sinare described the NPP’s criticism of Gyamfi as “desperate, shameless, and reckless,” arguing that it reflects panic, hypocrisy, and economic illiteracy rather than any factual or substantive critique. He asserted that the attacks stem from Gyamfi’s professionalism and effective leadership, which have laid bare the NPP’s failures during its time in government.
“The NPP must understand that attacking Sammy Gyamfi and Goldbod cannot erase the catastrophic economic havoc they imposed on ordinary Ghanaians,” Sinare wrote. “Their noise, lies, cheap theatrics, and propaganda cannot hide the disastrous legacy of corruption, incompetence, and financial chaos they left behind.”
He further noted that the NPP has no moral, technical, or political authority to lecture anyone on economic management, citing their record of soaring inflation, uncontrolled borrowing, a collapsing cedi, and a troubled banking sector.
Sinare praised Gyamfi’s leadership, stating that under his guidance, Goldbod and the Bank of Ghana have restored monetary stability, rebuilt investor confidence, and controlled inflationary pressures. “The gains in the cedi and financial sector are hard-earned, sustainable, and undeniable,” he said, adding that any attempt to discredit these achievements exposes the NPP’s economic ignorance and political opportunism.
He concluded the post with a pointed message to the NPP: “It is high time the NPP stops whining, stops twisting facts, and ‘follow who know road.’”
This post comes amid the ongoing public debate over Ghana’s economic management and the performance of the current government versus the opposition party.
