President Akufo-Addo says persons manipulating the candidature of Former NPP MP and independent candidate for Ejisu, Kwabena Owusu Aduomi will fail in their bid to claim the seat from the New Patriotic Party.

Though the President is indifferent about the Former NPP MPs decision to sever ties with the party, he says the candidate’s attempt to resort to lies in staging a comeback should not be encouraged by voters.

Addressing a rally at Kwamo in Ejisu on Sunday, April 28 ahead of Tuesday’s by-election President Akufo-Addo said it is only the Party’s candidate who can lobby development for the constituency.

He emphasised the need for the party to have majority in Parliament.

President, Akufo-Addo further dismissed allegations that the NPP will rig the elections.

Meanwhile, the camp of Kwabena Owusu-Aduomi in wrapping up their campaign are going through streets of Ejisu convincing electorates to vote their candidate.
