Parliament has delivered a solemn and heartfelt homage to the late Ayawaso East MP, Naser Toure Mahama, celebrating him as a steadfast statesman whose life of service left a powerful imprint on Ghana’s democracy.

In an emotional tribute, the House portrayed him as a man of honour and conviction — a loyal defender of his constituents and a tireless champion of progress and human welfare.

Lawmakers recounted how he passionately pursued development initiatives, fought for improved livelihoods in Ayawaso East, and carried himself with humility, dignity, and purpose throughout his years in public life.

His voice and presence in the chamber, the statement noted, embodied commitment to duty, compassion for the vulnerable, and the true spirit of national service.

Parliament extended deep sympathies to his family, colleagues, constituents, and all who mourn his passing, assuring that his generosity, leadership, and humanitarian spirit will continue to live on in memory.

The House further appealed to the public and the media to allow the bereaved family the privacy and peace they need during their moment of grief, urging restraint and sensitivity in public commentary.

Naser Toure Mahama passed away on Sunday, January 4, after a short illness, leaving behind a legacy of service, kindness, and devotion to country.
